Flat-Fee Will Packages to Help You Put Your Wishes in Writing
A will and Powers of Attorney give you a clear plan for your family and your assets. We offer flat-fee packages so you know the legal fee before we start.
Your estate plan, explained step by step
We will walk you through:
- Who will receive your assets
- Who will act as your executor
- Who can make decisions if you are unable to
- How to use your will to support family or charity
Why it helps to have a will in place
If you pass away without a will, Ontario law decides how your estate is divided. This might not match what you would have chosen and can create stress and conflict for your family.
- Choose who receives your assets and when.
- Appoint an executor you trust.
- Plan for young children, including guardianship and trusts.
- Support causes or charities that are important to you.
- Give your family clear instructions at a difficult time.
What about Powers of Attorney?
Powers of Attorney are separate documents that allow someone you choose to make decisions if you are alive but cannot act for yourself. In Ontario, there are two main types:
- Property: for financial and legal decisions.
- Personal Care: for health care and personal decisions.
Many clients complete a will and both Powers of Attorney at the same time so their plan is complete.

What the process looks like
We keep the process straightforward and explain each step in plain language. Many matters can be completed by video or phone if that is easier for you.
Initial call or online form
You contact us by phone or through the form below. We ask a few basic questions to see which package may fit and to confirm any timing needs.
Planning meeting
We meet in person or by video to review your wishes, answer questions, and collect the information needed to prepare your documents.
Drafts, signing and next steps
You review drafts, we make any agreed changes, and then we arrange a supervised signing appointment. We confirm where originals will be stored and what to share with your executors or attorneys.
Common questions
Can we meet by video instead of in person?
We can often complete most of the planning by phone or video for clients anywhere in Ontario. Some steps, such as signing, have specific legal requirements. We will explain your options and arrange a signing process that follows Ontario law.
Do you prepare Islamic wills?
Yes. We can prepare wills that are structured to reflect Islamic inheritance principles while remaining enforceable under Ontario law. We will talk through your wishes and explain how they can be set out in the will.
When should I consider multiple wills?
Multiple wills are usually considered where there are private company shares or certain other assets that can be transferred without probate. This is a more advanced planning tool and may not be necessary for every estate. In our meeting we can discuss whether it makes sense for you.
Is this page legal advice?
No. This page is general information only and is not legal advice. Your situation may require a different approach. We can give legal advice only after we have spoken with you, checked for conflicts, and agreed to act for you under a signed retainer.
